Make the query specific
Enter a series name with a season and episode, such as House S1E3 or Wednesday season 1 episode 7. A matching result can link directly into the guide. A bare episode number is less useful because it can recur in every season. If a story has more than one television adaptation, select the correct production year before comparing its numbering.
Compare the name as well as the number
The guide lists recorded episode names and air dates by season. Open only the part you need if names might spoil the story for you. A viewing service can group specials, combined broadcasts or regional season splits differently. In that situation, the episode's name and description are better clues than forcing two different lists to share the same number.
Record the last completed episode
On the series detail page, choose a season, enter the episode you finished and save the checkpoint. That number describes where you stopped, not the episode you plan to begin. It is a manual reminder in this browser, not a connection to an external player. Save the series itself too if you want a quick return from your list.
